Justin Hugheston-Roberts secured the acquittal of a man facing a series of serious allegations, including multiple assaults against family members and claims of controlling and coercive behaviour.
The defendant had been on restrictive bail conditions for over two years, during which time he had not been able to meet his son, born shortly after his arrest.
Following a carefully presented defence, Mr Hugheston-Roberts successfully persuaded the Court to bind the defendant over to be of good behaviour and to keep the King’s peace for a period of 12 months.
Not guilty verdicts were formally recorded on all remaining matters, and the defendant was released walking free.
Justin was instructed by Purcell Parker Solicitors.
