Abigail Bache represented a Defendant facing a two-count Indictment for possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of ammunition at Inner London Crown Court. Abi successfully argued that there was insufficient evidence to proceed to Trial on both counts, emphasising that the forensic evidence did not provide a solid basis for a properly directed Jury to safely convict the Defendant.
The Judge agreed, ruling that there was insufficient justification to proceed on the firearm charge but deemed it appropriate to continue with the ammunition count. As a result, the Defendant will now only face Trial for the lesser offense, thanks to Abi’s expert advocacy.
