Millennium Chambers is pleased to report a successful outcome secured by Kira Chana following a trial at Kingston Crown Court involving an allegation of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

The case concerned covert observations of a property, which led to a search and the discovery of Class A and B drugs. Although the property belonged to the defendant, the defence argued that the drugs belonged to other individuals and that there was no evidence linking Kira’s client to the substances recovered.

Following trial, the jury returned a verdict of Not Guilty in respect of Kira’s client. The other defendants were convicted.

This outcome highlights the importance of careful analysis of surveillance evidence and the need for the prosecution to establish a clear evidential link between a defendant and alleged controlled substances.
