Millennium Chambers is pleased to report a successful outcome secured by Matthew Pardoe, who secured the acquittal of his client following a week-long trial at the Central Criminal Court (Old Bailey).

The defendant faced allegations of money laundering, with the prosecution case asserting that he had allowed his bank accounts to be used to receive and dissipate funds said to have been obtained through fraudulent activity.

It was alleged that the funds in question were connected to schemes targeting vulnerable individuals. The defendant’s position throughout was that he had acted in good faith and without knowledge of any underlying criminal conduct.

Following a trial lasting one week, the jury returned verdicts of not guilty.

Matthew Pardoe was instructed by Julia Pitu of BK Law Solicitors.
